The Northwest Gaited Horse Club puts on an annual all breed gaited horse show in July called the Evergreen Gaited Horse Classic (EGHC). This is a fun, easy going, educational show whether you choose to participate or just watch! Spectator admission is free!

This is the only show in Washington State supporting the Friends of Sound Horses organization in support of sound naturally gaited sound horses! Classes for: Icelandics, Mountain Horses, Peruvians, Paso Finos, Fox Trotters, and Tennessee Walkers. Open and schooling classes for all gaited breeds (registered and unregistered can participate). Schooling classes for novice riders and/or horses to learn first hand from the judge on how to improve with your horse. There is something fun for everyone! Only flat shod or barefoot horses accepted. Great Awards/Prizes! Photographer Services! Exhibitors receive awards for first place, championships, and Best of Show. A Unique Horse Show
Our show gives riders and spectators the opportunity to learn about gaited horses by integrating schooling classes right into the show schedule. Novices take part in the show alongside experienced entries and they are given lots of help and encouragement along the way. At the end of each schooling class the riders get immediate feedback from the judge. Riders and spectators learn what the judge was looking for and why the class was placed as it was.

Best Gaited Horse of Show Award


Any horse that receives a first place during this event will qualify to enter the "Best Gaited Horse of Show" class. This is a great class to see a variety of top performing gaited horses doing what they do best!

Friday Night BBQ Dinner
As you know this club likes to have fun and learn! We are offering our exhibitors an option to have a delicious dinner on-site and the opportunity to meet new friends before the show starts. Caveman BBQ of Kent, WA will be providing an individually boxed dinner which includes a BBQ 1/2 chicken, potato salad, baked beans, cornbread roll, and pop! Be sure to place your order on the show entry form prior to July 7.
