Would you like to have fun with your gaited horse, learn about the various gaited horse breeds located here in the Northwest, or meet other gaited horse enthusiasts? Be sure to attend an event and help support the gaited horse!

The Northwest Gaited Horse Club does not necessarily endorse or sanction events but will post gaited events for members to review.

Claudia Coombs from Green Ridge Farm, North Carolina, is a nationally known clinician who specializes in gaited horse dressage. This is a specialized clinic with individual hour lessons and space is limited to 6 horses and riders each day.

David Lichman Gaiting Naturally Clinic
Licensed 5-Star Master Parelli Instructor David Lichman will present a one-day clinic.
Tentative schedule: Morning -- Lecture/ discussion around gaiting naturally, footfall patterns of various gaits, Q&A. Afternoon -- group riding, with individual instruction given according to goals and needs of riders; techniques and exercises; riding to music.
Cost: $200. Auditors welcome: $50. Lunch included. Size: The clinic will be limited to 8 participants, to ensure riders receive plenty of individual attention. Participants with horses must be able to ride in a snaffle bit, halter, hackamore with no metal parts, or Parelli Cradle.

Sanctioned FOSH, United Mountain Horse all breed gaited horse show with a focus on education and having fun. Classes for: Icelandics, Mountain Horses, Peruvians, Paso Finos, Gaited Morgans, Fox Trotters, Tennessee Walkers, and Best Gaited Horse of Show. Open and schooling classes for registered and unregistered horses. Schooling classes for novice riders and/or horses to learn first hand from the judge on how to improve with your horse. Only flat shod or barefoot horses accepted.
